Crime awareness campaign in Botlokwa policing area

Members from External Communication attached to the provincial office staged a successful crime awareness campaign in the Botlokwa policing area. The campaign was led by Capt Nemavhola assisted by Sgt Makgaba.

The campaign started by the members visiting Masedi Secondary School. The Campaign was supported by Lt Col Makhura (Botlokwa Station Commander) and the YCOP.

The learners at Masedi were encouraged to be disciplined and to study hard for their final exams. They were advised not to involve themselves with criminal activities but to focus on their studies.

After the school address the members proceeded to the Botlokwa Shopping Complex where visitors, shoppers and workers were addressed. The members were also joined by SAPS Limpopo Band.

During the campaign, 2000 pamphlets were distributed. The pamphlets include:

and gt;Second-hand goods

and gt;Prevention of Liquor Abuse

and gt;Break the Silence on Sexual Offences

and gt;Break the Silence on Domestic Violence.

SAPS Band was entertaining the community during the Campaign.

The members from Provincial Communication and Liaison also rendered a service by certifying the documents of the community members.

Similar campaigns will be held during the coming weeks in support of the festive season operations.
