Eight suspects arrested for drug dealing in Mdantsane Cluster

Mdantsane Cluster: Our efforts to save our youth from the scourge of drugs has paid off, when eight suspects were arrested for dealing in drugs in Mdantsane and Cambridge yesterday. This intelligence driven operation was carried out in Highway shopping centre. A 29-year-old suspect was arrested for possession of two packets of tik. They searched two houses in NU2 and arrested two suspect, 25 and 28 years for possession of 21 mandrax tablets and 40 dagga bompies and 11 arms of dagga. They proceeded to Cambridge area and searched several houses in Cambridge location and arrested three suspects, 22, 24 and 27 years old for possession of 37 mandrax tablets and 14 dagga bompies. The operation was concluded in Vincent, where another suspect was arrested for possession of cocaine and undisclosed amount of cash. The estimated street value of the drugs is R 7000. The seven suspects aged 25 and 29 respectively are due to appear in the Mdantsane and East London Magistrates' Courts soon on charges of dealing.
