Dagga plants found at a house in Nyanga

Western Cape: The Nyanga police arrested a 55 year old woman today after dagga plants were found in her yard. The arrest took place after members of the Nyanga Cluster Crime Combatting Team received a tip-off about the dagga plants hidden at the house in Ndwana Crescent in Browns Farm.

Upon their arrival they recovered a substantial number of dagga plants growing in vehicle tyres. The woman is expected to appear in the Philippi Magistrates' Court for dealing in dagga.

Lieutenant General Khombinkosi Jula, Provincial Commissioner, Western Cape, congratulated the police members on their diligence in the fight against the spreading of drugs.
