Man sentenced to life imprisonment following reign of terror

36-year-old Malefetsane Edwin Molise known as”Khuze” in Botshabelo and Thaba’Nchu, was today sentenced in the Bloemfontein High Court.
The accused was facing more than 20 charges that included 5x Murder, house breaking with intent, house robbery, illegal possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition, and possession of drugs, possession of stolen vehicle and theft out of vehicle, armed robbery and car hijacking.
He started his reign of terror back in 2000 whilst in High School after he allegedly murdered a man by hacking him with a panga. The then Free State Provincial Commissioner and now the Deputy National Commissioner of Crime Detection, Lt Gen Lebeoana Tsumane put together a team of detectives who made sure that the accused was brought to book.
He was acquitted on 12 charges after the state could not prove its case beyond reasonable doubt and was sentenced as follows:
2x Life terms and 15 years for 3 murders. 15 Years for robbery on aggravating circumstances, 8 years for theft out of motor vehicle, 7 years for illegal possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition and 5 years for house breaking.
All the other sentences will run concurrently with the three murders.
