East London Crime Prevention members were doing stop and searches in the CBD area last night as part of the festive season operations. While they were in Oxford Street they came across of a 28-year-old suspicious male and stopped and searched him. A plastic bag with Tik was found in his possession with the street value of plus minus R500 and a case of possession of drugs has been opened. They proceeded to St John's road where they also stop and searched a 29-years-old male and found 10 Mandrax tablets with the estimated value of plus minus R1000. The two suspects appeared in court today. While they were at St Paul's road they came across an abondoned vehicle that was stolen the previous night in Quigney. The car was circulated and booked to camp13. No suspect arrested.
