Vigilant member stop Business robbers in their tracks in a mall in Kirstenhof

WESTERN CAPE Vigilant police on-duty member stationed in Kirstenhof stopped Business robbers in their tracks at a mall in Kirstenhof this afternoon. The member was in the mall when he observed the incident, he gave chase, and shots were fired with no injuries reported. According to available information, five suspects, two armed, perpetrated a business robbery at a jewellery shop. The member stopped them while they were trying to flee. Two men aged 24 and 28 were arrested. Once they are charged, the suspects will appear in Wynberg Magistrate's Court. Three more suspects are being sought.

The Western Cape Acting Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sindile Mfazi commended the member for his bravery and ensuring that the suspects are brought to book.
